Student Support Through Partnership: Chloe’s Closet & Chloe’s Kitchen

A powerful partnership is helping transform student support at Dunbar Vocational Career Academy in Chicago. What began as teacher Tyesa Walton’s tribute to her daughter, Chloe, has grown into a vital resource for students, supported in part by our brand’s ongoing commitment to removing barriers.

Chloe’s Closet has long provided students with clothing, hygiene products, and essentials. After Walton was named Teacher of the Year by Chi Gives Back, sponsors, including our team, helped renovate and expand the space to better serve students’ year‑round.

We’re also proud to support the launch of Chloe’s Kitchen, a new food pantry addressing student food insecurity, made possible through donations from 1‑800TruckWreck. Together, we’ve also introduced the Weekend Backpack Program, giving students consistent access to food and essentials beyond the school week.

These initiatives reflect a shared mission: ensuring students have the stability and dignity they need to focus on learning.
