2026 Great Atlanta Band Challenge Opens for Nominations
The sixth annual Great Atlanta Band Challenge is giving Atlanta-area high school marching bands an opportunity to showcase their talent and compete for $10,000 in funding for their band program.
Presented by Amy Witherite and 1-800-TruckWreck in partnership with Radio One Atlanta’s Majic 107.5/97.5 and Hot 107.9, the annual competition celebrates the talent and dedication of Atlanta-area high school marching bands.
To enter, participating bands are asked to submit a link to a performance of a musical composition and explain how the $10,000 award would support their program. The competition provides students and band directors with an opportunity to highlight their work while bringing greater recognition and financial support to music education.
Funding from the Great Atlanta Band Challenge can help a winning program address needs such as instruments, uniforms, equipment, travel, and other expenses associated with operating a high school marching band.
After the nomination period, selected bands will advance to community voting. Visit the official Majic ATL contest page for current deadlines, eligibility requirements, voting information, and complete rules.
Through the Great Atlanta Band Challenge, 1-800-TruckWreck continues working with local partners to support student musicians and invest in Atlanta-area schools.
