"Peace In The Streets" Summer Block Party & Community Resource Fair Comes to North Lawndale

The Peace In The Streets Summer Block Party & Community Resource Fair brought neighbors together in North Lawndale for a day of connection, resources, and community impact. Hosted by Witherite Law Group and sponsored by 1-800-TruckWreck, the free event took place at the North Lawndale Employment Network (NLEN) campus and welcomed hundreds of local residents.

The event featured family-friendly activities, live entertainment, food trucks, and valuable community resources. Attendees also had access to job opportunities through an on-site hiring fair, where local employers connected directly with job seekers and accepted applications.

In partnership with iHeartMedia Chicago’s 107.5 WGCI and NLEN, the Peace In The Streets initiative continues its mission to support underserved communities across Chicago by providing meaningful resources and fostering stronger neighborhood connections.

Amy Witherite, founder of Witherite Law Group and 1-800-TruckWreck, emphasized the importance of community engagement and giving back, noting that events like these reflect the organization’s ongoing commitment to making a positive impact in Chicago.
