Free Youth Baseball Clinic Held on Chicago’s Near South Side

CBS Chicago covered a free youth baseball clinic held on Chicago’s Near South Side, where dozens of children gathered to learn the fundamentals of the game.

Hosted by 1-800-TruckWreck, powered by Witherite Law Group, the clinic took place at Curtis Granderson Stadium and welcomed kids ages 6–16. Volunteer coaches led participants through drills and instruction focused on building foundational baseball skills in a fun and supportive environment.

More than 90 children participated in the event, receiving baseball shirts, caps, and gloves provided by 1-800-TruckWreck. The clinic was part of the Joe Soto Baseball Experience, hosted by V103 personality Joe Soto, with the goal of introducing youth from underserved communities to the sport.

The event reflects an ongoing commitment to community outreach, helping provide young people with access to positive experiences, mentorship, and opportunities to stay active and engaged.
