Girls Inc. Chicago Gets a Lesson in Money Management

Part 2 of the Financial series developed by the WLG Community Relations Director, Maya Hightower, for the Girls Inc of Chicago staff, featured talks from top experts in their field.

The first half focused on "The Essentials of Good Credit" presented by Amon Nickerson, President & CEO of MBE Financial. The second half touched on the oft-confusing subject of investments with "Investing 101" presented by Kyle West,  Managing Director at Duff & Phelps Investment Managing Co.

Each presenter broke down the basics of their topics in a easy, palatable way to help the staff walk away with knowledge and insight to put what they learned to practical use.

Sessions like these are incredibly important to the success of the financial future of this and future generations.

Chicagoland Community Outreach and Local Non Profit Programs and Events

Involvement in our local communities is at our core beliefs. Breaking barriers, to help others is our goal and we believe the power of impacting a single child benefits a family, a community, and beyond. 1800 Truck wreck takes extraordinary joy with the vast methods to lift our neighbors throughout the year.

Investing in education is vital, as the children are the leaders of tomorrow.

Smaller acts such as rent, groceries, or bill assistance have a profound impact.

Co-Sponsoring Local Non-Profit Events, provide winter coats or meat on the table for dinner.

These are few activities for 1-800-Truckwreck to be an active member of each community as we call these neighborhoods home too.
